Candy Corn!

So, how happy was I to go to the back door and see a package from my sister? A totally unexpected package. I was SO happy! I open up the box and find a cute card from Emity and Tiffanie and a Target bag with 4 different kinds of candy corns and a bag of Hershey Kisses, candy corn flavor. And a cute candy corn bucket to put these wonderful things in! Aren't they great girls!

Here is how it started...Emity posted on her blog about the different flavors of candy corn she had tried. I am a fan of candy corn and mentioned I didn't have access to such wonderful flavors. I told her she should come to my house with all these wonderful flavors and we could have a candy corn tasting party at my house. Well, she did the next best thing, her and Tiff sent me all the great flavors they had tried. S'mores, Toffee, Green Apple, and Original. The last three also have CHOCOLATE COVERED in their bag! Who doesn't LOVE chocolate covered?!

So, here is my ranking.
1. Carmel Apple still is my favorite
2. Original
3. Green Apple
4. Toffee
5. S'mores

Thank you girls! I love you both so much. Thanks for thinking of me and making my day, along with every time I see the candy corns or eat them, I think of the two of you and how much I love you and know that you love me too.

Next Please

So I definitely need to get rid of the post below this one so, here is cute baby Pyper! She is 4 months old today! What a big girl. And super cute too. ;) She is so chatty. It's fun. When she wakes up she gets a little mad, but then it turns into her "talking". (but that turns back into crying if you leave her too long) She wants to roll over, but can't quite make it all the way yet. She chews on her hands like crazy and if her hands get caught in her blanket, you can guarantee it will be a slobbery mess. If she could just hold on to something for more than 10 seconds, we'd be in business. I love this girl, she's a keeper!

These are from our camping trip out to the Wedge over conference weekend with Garrett and Hayley. We had such a good time. (More pics on that to follow, I promise.) This is one of my most favorite pictures from that weekend.
cute kids!!

This is also one of my favorites from that weekend. =D

I love Halloween. I think it's fun to decorate my house, but not in the scary way. I have some BIG spiders I put up on the outside of my house and Camryn wasn't too sure about them at first. But I have this pumpkin kid that I got on clearance from Kmart one year after Halloween. Every year the girls love to put him out. This year was no different. Camryn calls him her friend and will give him hugs randomly. Sometimes when she gets out of the car she'll go to the front door, instead of through the garage, just so she can give him a hug. So cute.
There, that should do it. Beauty Queen gone. Thank goodness! :)

No Beauty Queen!

Here she is folks Miss Midvale!
Okay, so I haven't been Miss Midvale for YEARS, but I thought it would be funny. Hayley did a post on her blog and I thought I'd give it a go too. (Liz played too!)
Here's me looking oh so lovely.... Miss All Natural.
Here's me how I go out most of the time, I hardly ever put on eye makeup, but do try to cover up my scary face a little bit...
Sometimes makeup just takes too long to do. Not really, but that's what I'm going with.
And here we are all done up. (p.s. I really stink at this taking a picture of yourself thing)
Like Liz, I think I remember my mom saying something about putting on makeup before you go out. Maybe it was at least some mascara, I don't really remember. But I guess I'm just lazy. I know I'd feel better about myself if I took a little time to fix myself up, but I feel like my days are busy with the "mom" thing and in my mind, that doesn't require dressing up and really getting ready for the day. My baby is only 4 months old (almost), going out is really not something we do very often. Since Hayley's little challenge, I've had makeup on for 4 days in a row now. (I started this post on Friday.) We'll see if I can keep it up for a week.
So there you have it folks, Miss Midvale 4 kids later! I dare all of you to show off your beauty queen!

Look At Her Go!

So last weekend on our trip to the Wedge, we brought along our bikes for fun. Rylie had Garth take the training wheels off of her bike a few months ago, but she has only tried with out them on maybe twice. Well, her second go at it out there and she had it! Way to go Rylie!!! You are awesome!

Articles of Faith of Mormon Culture

Nicki Stevenson had this on her facebook status earlier today. I thought is was hilarious, so I decided to share. Hope you have a good chuckle - I did. :)

1. We believe in SUVs and minivans, as the form of transportation, and in knee length shorts, which are always nice, and in the multilevel marketing.

2. We believe that church ball players should be punished for their own fouls, and not for unsportsmanlike aggression.

3. We believe that through bread crumbs, cheese, creamy soups, and rice all casseroles can be saved through obedience to ward cookbooks and creativity in the mixing bowl.

4. We believe that the first layers and ingredients of the Dip are: first, beans; second, cheese; third, chopped tomatoes; fourth, the gift of sour cream; fifth, olives; sixth, salsa; seventh, guacamole, that is, if you have it.

5. We believe that a Mormon should have a distinguished or a cute name, that it is appropriate to name a child after a church leader or a historical figure including an ancestor, that alternative spellings and French prefixes only add to a name, and that when referring to the names of General Authorities, middle initials should be a part thereof.

6. We believe in the same wall decor that exists in many Mormon homes, namely, framed family proclamations, vinyl lettering, inspirational word signs, family photos, pictures of temples and Jesus, and so forth.

7. We believe in the gift of the re-gift, church books, crafts, family photos, baked goods, emergency supply kits, and so forth.

8. We believe in sparkling grape juice so long as it is nonalcoholic; we also believe in bringing root beer and sprite to ward parties.

9. We believe in all that we have scrapbooked, all that we will now scrapbook, and we believe that we will yet scrapbook many great and important things pertaining to our family, friends, pets, and vacations.

10. We believe in the literal mixing of ketchup and mayo and in the generous application of ranch dressing; that CBAs (church-based acronyms) will be used to describe YM/YW, PEC, the Y, NCMO, and CTR; that Mitt Romney will get Mormons to vote for him any time he runs; and, that the Mormons will enjoy reading Twilight and The Work and the Glory.

11. We claim the privilege of trying to identify common acquaintances with any visitor at church, and allow all other people at church the same privilege, and let them name drop the names of Famous and general authorities how, where, or what they may.

12. We believe in being subject to scoutmasters, pampered chef hostesses, and the writers of the U.S. News and World Report Rankings for professional schools, and in obeying, honoring, and sustaining Glenn Beck.

13. We believe in being above average, good at crafts, optimistic, and being fifteen minutes late everywhere we go. Indeed, we may say that we follow BYU football. We believe rumors about famous people joining the church, we hope to meet the three Nephites, we have endured many pyramid schemes, and hope to be able to endure all pyramid schemes. If there is anything cheap, free, sold in bulk, or given away when somebody is moving, we seek after these things.

Lesson from Jonathan

Jonathan's Fire by Janeal A. Mecham
He discovered it doesn't matter
whether or not you're best.
It's what you do with what you have
that helps to pass the test.
