Taylor's Birthday
Taylor celebrated her 8th birthday on the 11th. What a big day! I can't believe she is 8 years old and going to be baptized. How very exciting. With her new hair cut, she looks like such a big girl. Jana took pictures of her in her dress for her baptism (thanks Clisty) and she looks so grown up and so pretty. I put the invitations in the mail yesterday, so you should all be getting them pretty soon.
Taylor's party was just a family one this year. Her grandparents came and so did Jana with her girls. It was a lot fun. Taylor picked lasagna for her dinner and wanted blue berry muffins for her cake. Silly girl. But it makes sense, because she doesn't really eat birthday cake, so why not have something you like - right? I scrap booked the pictures if you want to take a look.
Here's a little preview of her baptism pictures. Doesn't she look so pretty?
Thought For The Day
OK, here's a thought for the day. I was reading the Worldwide Leadership Training Meeting insert that came with this month's magazines and wanted to share a bit with all you wonderful people out there. Enjoy!
"We find in that an equality of the brethren who hold the priesthood and the women who stand at their side. We work together, and we're organized first as families. We all have the right to inspiration and revelation, and oh, how we need it in this world, especially in the great challenge of raising a family."

Who Can It Be Now?
Just so you know, I have the cutest nieces and one handsome nephew on the planet. Here's one of them: Madeline. Madeline belongs to Jared and Liz. When Taylor cut her hair, I said I would save it and put it on Madeline hair and see how it looks. I hate to disappoint, so here it is! Doesn't that look CRAZY! Liz joined in the fun too. Madeline has nice thick hair, but it is just so darn short. You should check out Jared and Liz's blog to see all the fun things Liz does with Madeline's hair though. It is amazing! Liz has had her hair in french braids! I can do a pretty mean braid, but my french braiding skills need a bit of work.
I just wanted to let my family know that I had a great time while we were up visiting. I was nice to hang out with everyone. We hated to come home - especially the girls. Rylie wanted another sleep over at Madeline's and Taylor was hoping for one with Shelby and Vittoria. It was a nice break after such a busy month. Hopefully we can do it again before the summer is over. Once we got home, it was back to the craziness of my house hold - cleaning, refereeing, birthday partying, entertaining the girls, taxiing, cooking, and all that other fun stuff. I miss being at Mom's already =). It's a lot of work being the one in charge. Thanks again fam and I love you all so much!
Dance Technica's Lagoon Performance
I finally figured out my password for my scrapblog account! So, here are the pics from our Lagoon performance. All the girls did a great job! The entire morning I was cursing myself for doing this performance (so was Anjelena), but it went really well. After the performance, Taylor, Rylie, and I had some fun on the rides. It was a blast. Taylor is a bit of a scardy (sp?) cat, but that's ok. Hopefully she'll grow out of it. I think the girls' favorite ride was the Musical Express. It was fun to spend some time with just the two of them. And from what I hear, Camryn was a good girl for Nana.
Notice the time this was posted? I really should be in bed, but this seems like the only time I can get anything done with out being interrupted.

HAIR CUTS!
I promised the girls they could get their hair cut right after the dance recital, and let me tell you, Taylor was keeping me to that promise. She has been asking to get her hair cut since March. So here it is, the before and after photos.
I did trim Rylie's hair a little so the spongy rollers would do their job.
Pretty cute huh. I think Rylie looks so cute with short hair. Taylor loves her hair short. She keeps shaking her head side to side. We plan on sending her pony tails off to Locks Of Love. I'll probably let her cut her hair again in another 2 years. =)

Dance Recital
I have a few things to tell you all about, so let's move back to front shall we? The dance recital went really well. The show went so smooth, it was great. That seems to be that the comment I hear the most is that the show moved along so quickly, which is good because we had 37 numbers in the show and it was still just under 2 hours! Everyone danced so well. Of course my girls did a great job too =). Actually, they were the best ones out there! (ok, maybe I'm a little biased.) The teachers danced to "U Can't Touch This" with one of the classes. It was pretty funny, the girls in the class couldn't quite figure out how to do the running man. But the teachers, we had no problem. I also danced with my two adv. tappers to "Puttin' On The Ritz". Made a couple of mistakes, but I think it still went OK. Our theme for the show was Back In Time. We had songs ranging from the 30's to present. Garth said it was his favorite show so far! =) Here are a few pictures taken after the show. For our finale, we had a "time machine" that the dancers ran through - aren't we clever!
Me and my cutie pies!
Taylor, Mikelle Monson, & Clarissa Noyes, dancing buddies.
After we cleaned up (I wish clean-up after the recital was like clean up at a church function, everyone helps til it's done), we went to McDonald's to get something to eat. I took pictures of the girls because the next day, they would be getting their hair cut! Which leads to my next post.
I put the girl's hair in spongy rollers the day before so it would be curly for the show. I wanted Rylie to look like Shirley Temple because her class danced to "On The Good Ship Lollipop"

Taylor is always ready to pose for a camera.
